My Portfolio
A collection of my best pieces. Each is unique and original
Tomato Tango
This painting was created with the bold colors in my palette. I chose this background color as it compliments the reds. I used acrylic paints on a 16x20 canvas and varnished the painting.
Gulf Shores
This painting was created using oils on an 11x14 canvas. My reference picture was taken in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This beach holds a special place in my heart as I was proposed to on this trip by the love of my life.
Hooked On You
This painting was created using watercolors on watercolor paper. This collage of saltwater fish was used because of the vibrant colors.
Color in the Canopy
This toucan study was completed on 4x6 watercolor paper with gouache. White acrylic paint was used for the highlights. I love the tropical element of Toucans.
Gustave Heye House
My reference photo for this piece was taken in Galveston island when I visited. This house holds so much rich history, I wanted to capture it. I felt charcoal would best do this. This is my first charcoal piece I used charcoal on canvas paper panel.
Berry Odd Picnic
This painting was created as part of my citrus collection. I took this reference picture myself. I wanted to capture a summer feeling. I used oil on canvas with an acrylic underpainting.
When Life Gives You Lemons
This painting was created aiming to capture an Italy essence. Vibrant tile was the inspiration. I used acrylic paint on a 20x20 canvas and varnished the painting.
Coastal Sunset
This painting was my second oil painting ever. I used oil paint on an 8x10 canvas. I used the easily blended medium to capture the continuity of waves.
Turtle Love
This small 4x6 painting was created using gouache on watercolor paper. White acrylic paint was used for accents. The fluidity of gouache allows seamless blending.
Echoes of the Sun
This painting was created using acrylic paint on an 8x10 canvas. This piece is a different setting than my others, but the vibrancy and pops of color show through.
Salty Breeze
This painting was created using oils on canvas. This is my largest sunset piece to date. The dramatics of the water and the vibrance of the orange drew me in.
Orange Sunset
I created this painting on a 16x20 canvas using acrylic as a base and oils on top. At times oils can be difficult to layer so acrylics underneath can create more depth. I aimed to create a darker more rich sunset.
Orange Zest
This painting was created using a cohesive color palette of acrylic paint. A 20x20 canvas was used. The background was inspired by fun fabric patterns.
Summer Love
This was my first oil painting I completed. It is on an 10x10 canvas. It was so exciting playing with the colors for the first time.
Pretty and Pink
This painting was created using watercolors on 11x14 watercolor paper. Pink is my favorite color to play with. Multiple layers of watercolor allowed me to create some depth.
James Dean
This piece is charcoal on watercolor paper, featuring James Dean from the movie Gator. This is my first portrait. I loved capturing the darkest darks and the highlights as well.
